Specialist Stone Restoration
Located within the Mayfair Conservation Area, 43 to 44 New Bond Street forms part of one of London’s most prestigious luxury retail destinations. First built in the 1720s, the building retains a richly detailed classical façade, with attached columns, decorative arches and traditional architectural detailing now forming the setting for Moncler’s contemporary retail presence.
Triton were commissioned to undertake specialist external façade restoration works, beginning with a careful inspection of the building fabric to identify areas of damage and deterioration. The works included structural repairs, repointing, plastic repairs and façade cleaning using a combination of jet washing, steam cleaning and Thermatech cleaning methods. Access was carefully managed through the use of a MEWP, allowing the team to complete works safely within a busy high footfall retail environment.
Further works included the reglazing of a fourth floor Georgian wired window, alongside the necessary pavement protection, local authority approvals and health and safety coordination required for a high profile New Bond Street location. The completed project reflects Triton’s ability to deliver sensitive conservation repairs within protected areas, while meeting the practical demands of a live luxury retail setting.
