In 2014, Triton were appointed as Principal Contractor on the extensive refurbishment of Hurlingham Court. This prestigious residential mansion block overlooking the Thames is one of numerous general external refurbishment projects that has benefited from Triton’s specialist restoration and masonry skills.
Once all brickwork and terracotta dressings had been sensitively cleaned, severe damage to the balconies and porticos was evident to both the front and rear of the building. Investigatory works established that this was due to the rusting of the hidden structural steel frames. After all the defective elements were treated or replaced with stainless steel, terracotta blocks were replaced with matching units as necessary, including moulded sections to the high level riverside gables.
