25 Gordon Street is a Victorian building that began as the Endsleigh Place Hotel and later served as a First World War military hospital, before University College London took it over in the 1950s and it became the UCL Students’ Union base from 1959.

Specialist façade and balcony repairs secured failing historic brackets with new engineered steel supports, alongside careful brickwork and repointing, stone and terracotta repairs, and like for like replacement of damaged terracotta details to protect the original character.

Waterproofing, cleaning, timber repairs and external redecoration were completed while managing access, safety and noise so the building remained fully operational throughout.
