Triton were appointed directly by Emanuel School, Battersea, to carry out a phased programme of roofing, façade restoration and external redecoration works to the school’s historic main building and entrance tower.
The works included specialist brick cleaning, removal of cementitious pointing, lime mortar repointing, imperial brick replacement, stone repairs, coping and parapet repairs, and traditional sash window refurbishment. Significant access scaffolding was required to reach the tower and high-level elevations safely.
Roofing works included repairs to the tower roof, lead gutters, flashings, ridge cappings, drainage details and adjoining slate roof areas. The project was carefully planned around school holidays and weekend working, with protection and segregation maintained throughout to safeguard pupils, staff, visitors and the historic building fabric.
