Brickwork, Stonework, Cleaning, Roofing

St Paul’s Church was designed and built by architects Somers Clarke and John Thomas Micklethwaite, who later became surveyors and chief architects to St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey.

The works were completed in several separate phases spanning over 20 years. The interior of the church was restored and redecorated for its centenary in 1996 under the direction of architect Mr Paul Velluet. The exterior brick and stonework were cleaned and repaired in 1999 with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund through its joint grants scheme with English Heritage. Phase 3 of the works were undertaken in 2015/16 for repairs to the clay tiled roof and cast Iron rainwater goods.
