About You

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Graduate Project Manager to join our team. The role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a dynamic specialised sector.

 

Role Description

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company’s financial management across multiple restoration projects. Working closely with directors and project teams, you will ensure strong financial control, timely reporting, and compliance with statutory requirements, contributing to the overall financial stability and performance of the business.

 

Skills & Experience Requirements

  • 5 years minimum accounting experience in the construction industry
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Cooperative and adaptable attitude with ability to use own initiative
  • IT Proficient
  • Experience with Quickbooks, Xero and Sage

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with company procedures and statutory requirements
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations
  • Process supplier invoices and manage payment runs in line with agreed terms
  • Raise sales invoices and monitor debtor balances and cash flow
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for directors
  • Monitor project costs and support cost tracking alongside the production team
  • Assist with VAT returns and statutory filings
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and support payroll processing where required
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and audit requirements
