The Etons comprises three seven storied brick blocks in neo-Georgian style, designed by Toms & Partners in 1939.
With the overhaul and redecoration of over 1,500 windows, to 354 separate flats, required in only 34 weeks, Triton appointed a special Tenant Liaison Officer for this project in addition to a full time Site Manager, to maintain quality.
As the largest contract for this client to date with a Contract Value of £1,200,000.00, Triton ensured that this project ran smoothly.
Whilst most of the trades involved with this project were relatively straightforward, the rebuilding of the extensively damaged northern boundary wall proved to be quite demanding.
The boundary wall functions as a retaining wall in places. With geotechnical considerations to take into account, it was essential to shore up the sub-soil whilst installing concrete piles and pier foundations before rebuilding the wall to its original line and level.
Finally, the entrance steps were retiled and a new lighting system was installed to highlight the features of the portico.
